Novel: Mappa Mundi
The unearthing on a Hebridean island of a complex terrestrial map engraved on a trepanned bone disc from an ancient skull has the potential to unleash a new world-order religion. Presently under the care of the US Government, the ancient 'Starchild' skull is key to the revelation of a thousand-year-old Italian redacted map secreted by the church in Rome - the 'Mappa Mundi' - (the map of the world). A spiritual empathy between two women sparks a quest to reunite the two objects. Four modern-day friends, recently involved in the ‘Cradle Plank Affair’, are once again unwillingly coerced into thwarting the age-old threat of this anti-Christian plot.
Freya, a Viking princess adventurer, interacts with a 20th century empath in this complex, intriguing and high-spirited adventure as they follow parallel adventures one-thousand-years apart. Freya is helped in her quest by two Papal castrati choristers from Rome; Seb and Rollo: impish, fearless, and intelligent, they become the Pope's 'runners' in the race against time.
The writing of this sequel to ‘Cradle Plank Affair’ is running to schedule and should be edited and ‘ready-to-go’ by October 2025. Get ready!
